SHAME on Sturtz &Copeland! I was actually told when I called for rescue help re a plant to call back in a day or two because it's Valentine's Day and they were too busy for my call. I explained I'd worked several times with them about the plant and I had a couple of super quick questions but was still dismissed. I know if I had been in the store no one ever would have told me to come back in a couple of days because they were busy. WHAT A RIPOFF!!!!!! I went in to have a helium balloon filled (an "Airswimmer" gift for my daughter who had just had her teeth pulled out - really cool toy, by the way). I had called to ask whether the folks at Sturtz & Copeland would fill the balloon - to which they said "sure, come on it". Well, I guess I should have asked them about the price on the phone, because once I was standing there with my poor, aching 8 year old daughter they really took advantage of me. Good selection and great talented workers. Return policy sucks! Every nursery around will give you some sort of compensation for items that "don't make it". S&C won't even listen to your story. As a Master Gardener planting the same perennial each year, this year's batch just didn't cut it. I was willing to accept partial but their only position is that the problem must have been something that I did wrong. So long S&C. You no longer have my business.

Ordering flowers for my wedding from Sturtz and Copeland was the worst decision I made during the entire planning process. My goal was to have nice fall colored bouquets and arrangements. The designer provided no guidance and I was left to try to piece the types and colors of flowers I wanted together. She never mentioned which flowers would not be in season at that time and would be difficult to get. If she had, I would have quickly picked other flowers. I purchased an $80 custom arrangement for my girlfriend's birthday/Valentine's Day. By the next morning, the hydrangeas wilted. I called about it, and was told that I needed to bring the dead hydrangeas to the store to get exchange or refund. I explained that I would not be able to get back to my girlfriend's house for a couple days, but they wouldn't bend on their policy. Really?
