I called and asked for something special, and was willing pay for it. I paid $165 for a large arrangement but it was nothing special. The worst part was the flowers looked a bit old when I picked them up. The second day was a disappointment and the photos in this post are from the 4th day. I have bought from candlelight before but this purchase was a huge disappointment. The past week was reasonably cool and the vase was always filled with water.

I ordered and paid for the deluxe version of an arrangement and what was received was anything but deluxe. I called the florist to discuss the matter only to be told that they were out of certain flowers in the arrangement I ordered and some of the flowers would bloom later making it look more "full". I believe it would've been appropriate to contact me to let me know they were out of certain flowers to allow me to decide if I wanted another arrangement or cancel the order. The flowers were beautiful but ridiculously over priced. I got 2 dozen white roses, (split into two vases for funeral centerpieces) and it was $180. I'm all about supporting local businesses, especially in the middle of a pandemic but holy cow the price was insane. Would not use or recommend in the future.

Worst florist around. Go to allens in el cajon or la mesa. Better flowers, prices and service.

So frustrated with this florist. I have been living in Santee for over 30 years and any time I get a floral delivery that was called in through FTD they use Candlelight Florist. The flowers are not fresh the vase is filled with filler and the flowers only last a max of 3-4 days. I know that my family spends a lot of money when ordering flowers and for what they spent they are getting ripped off. I bought some flowers from them gave the lady a message to put on them and they had hours to write the message on there yet still failed to do it the lady I wanted to receive the flowers was out front and would have got them but did not because by the time my friend was done writing the message for me as I don't have the use of my arms she was gone and has no idea I got sick with pneumonia so I could not take her out to dinner for valentines day as they are still sitting in front of her home. Is kind of expensive. I was told by the sales clerk that I could choose the price and that she will make an arrangement based on my price. Went back 2 days after to place an order and she wanted me to pay more. She seemed too busy to talk to me and in a hurry. I am sure she had an order to finish BUT she could have been a little more patient and answered a bit differently. Now I have a bad impression and will never go back. For being able to make a bouquet and deliver in the same day is the only reason they are getting a 3. I ordered a sympathy bouquet for a funeral and it didn't turn out how they advertised on their website plus they had to substitute the vase it came in because they didn't have that one in stock. For the price it cost ($150) I feel like I could of personally done better. Great customer service via phone, very personable and nice.
Completely underwhelming experience last weekend. I was picking up flowers for mother's day for my wife. In times past my wife and I have really enjoyed the flowers we have gotten from this shop. We used to live in Santee and this was our standard. Times have changed or management has changed because the staff was VERY different.
