As a local Malverne resident, I always try to support the local merchants. I have tried to support Jay, the new owner, but have been consistently disappointed. Yesterday I ordered a funeral arrangement for $100.00 to be delivered to the Malverne funeral home. EXTREMELY disappointed with the flower selection and quality of the flowers. I think I could have picked up the same vase with better flowers for $30.00 at Cross Island. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Much better florists in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Utter disaster.... Ordered a day earlier for next day pickup.. no record. Had to show my credit card receipt. Other people walked in same story... hired help and nobody has a clue. They had to scramble and throw junk together. I was forced to take a $30 bouquet that I paid $80 for because I needed to bring something home. They exceed in ineptness and cluelessness. NEVER AGAIN

I live in Malverne and want to patronize Malverne small businesses. I went in on Friday, 12/22 on my way to the cemetery and wanted to pick up two arrangements to bring with me. I was told they were "too busy" and to come back later. I was not asking them to make anything special. I was happy to take a bouquet or something already make up. My daughter ordered flowers for Mother's Day. She ordered them a WEEK ahead of time. Ordering the Deluxe Blossoming Romance. Description Light Pink ROSES, lilies, lavender in Glass rose vase. There were NO Roses. I understand substitution but maybe sizes or color, not just more greenery. The vase wasn't even the correct one My daughter was so disappointed when she saw the flowers at my house. I guess Al the owner didn't expect her to see them.

I'm not one to complain or use this medium often, and people that know me, know that I'm pretty easy going. I have to say, the malverne florist is operated by the worst human being ever. Went in asking about a funeral arrangement for my best friends funeral who passed from leukemia this week and he was rude arrogant and pretty dismissive. Nasty and acted as if I was bothering him. I ordered flowers through FTD.com to be sent to someone special and Malverne Floral Design fulfilled the order. Let's just say I was underwhelmed and ultimately embarrassed by the arrangement when I seen the picture it what arrived to the house. #notOK
