After a sudden death in the family we needed flowers for the funeral with very last minute arrangements for the same day. Unable to find a florist local to the funeral home in Suffolk County that could fulfill our request for the same day we came here. Staff was extremely helpful and patient in choosing the right flower arrangement within our budget, it was ready in a few hours and the flowers were magnificent, even more beautiful than we had expected. Really a phenomenal business. We ordered a sympathy plant/flower basket that they didn't have a available but they in turn created something absolutely beautiful. They were very nice to work with and an honest business.

I have been using Malverne Floral for years, Al is always great to deal with. Every time I order, I receive fresh Floral arrangements that are full of flowers and fillers. I recently sent few arrangements to a funeral and received compliments on how beautiful they were. Al is always open and in the shop, I highly recommend using him.

I've been buying flowers for special occasions, birthdays, and anniversaries at Malverne Floral for a few years now and I will continue to give them my business. The guy who works at the front counter is always friendly and is great with recommendations. Prices seem like they might be a bit more expensive compared to other florists in the area, but I would rather support a local business than purchase flowers through 1-800-Flowers or another comparable company. They may have been an upstanding institution but it seems like they have lost their mojo. I put in an order the week before and when I arrived it wasn't ready. There hours were spurious and irregular. For 56 dollars I got a box of rose petals and 6 loose flowers that looked like they were dying. Total ripoff. Would not go back but when you are inside you get the vibe that they are already closing up shop. They have done some nice work for me in the past but I think they're no longer at the peak. Is there a mark lower than TERRIBLE? Zero stars but I was forced to give it one. I ordered tulips and chocolate as an Anniversary gift. They sent old and wilted daisies left over from Mother's Day (well after Mother's Day) and no chocolate. I called and complained. They sent a leftover Elmer Valentine's Day heart. Valentine's Day was 3 months ago. Elmer is the cheapest chocolate. Delivery sent by Doordash. Are they kidding me? I was promised a call from the owner. They said he'd call today. No call. UPDATE: After the owner read by below review, he called and offered a full refund for the remaining difference of $100. Jay also apologized as he never saw the pictures or the flowers before handing them off for the ceremony. He offered a complimentary bouquet but I turned him down. I appreciate the gesture but the damage is done and I can't get the day or the picture back. I'm grateful for the follow up.
