I have been a long time customer of Beechwood florist. The place is not the same with the new owners. There is no value anymore. I was very underwhelmed with the arrangement they made me. I bought $130 worth of flowers and got what looked a $60 arrangement. Also, this is a florist, why are they not trimming, weeding and taking care of the landscAping in front of the building. The new owners need to step it up. As of now, I will not be a customer anymore. I have heard the same complaints from my friends.
I am only giving this one star to be sure you are aware that I didnt just forget to rate them. I will start with, they did my wedding 20+ years ago, I have not lived in Ct for over 10 years, wow, things do change. My mom passed away a few weeks ago, the first plant we recieved was addressed to my mother, not my dad or my family but from this place and I felt it was overlooked but made sure we did not use them for our flowers at her funeral. IT WAS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I ORDERED FLOWERS FROM THIS PLACE! I ordered an arrangement that looked very nice on their website (for $77, not the cheapest one). When I got there to pick it up, it was a quarter of the size shown on the pictures online. It was a TOTAL disappointment! When I commented on the size of the arrangement, I was told that they used premium flowers, that's why it cots so much. Received a pretty arrangement on Friday the 14th, valentine's day. Sadly half of it was dead by Sunday morning.
I can't wait for the morning so I can put in a phone call to the owner and express my opinion. We ordered flowers for a service that took place this weekend. One word could define what was delivered: embarrassing! I ordered several arrangements and over a dozen boutonnieres. In looking at their website and the arrangements, I thought we would be getting substantial vases for the amount of money we spent. We don't like to respond but.... At Beachwood Florist we pride our self with great customer service and if you look at our other reviews you will see how well we do. We where open to a resolution with this customer, called her three times but she would not call us back. She called her credit card company and did a charge back for the whole amount.
