Called from Los Angeles at around 4:00 pm Iowa time and requested a colorful bouquet be delivered same day. No problem. Happy Happy. Recipient called them gorgeous.

Nice, local flower shop. I stopped in to see if they could make up a small holiday-themed centerpiece for a family dinner. I simply said I wanted to spend about $30, and picked out a little container. 10 minutes later I had a lovely arrangement ready to go. Service was very friendly and helpful. They also sell other decorative items - candles, artificial arrangements, vases, balloons, etc. It was just after Christmas and they had a good selection of holiday items on sale for 50% off. Very disappointed, I ordered flowers online in the evening, looking over the plant and basket I wanted to order, after an hour and thought I had perfect plant and basket. I get a call from them the next day when I am at work. Thinking this was off my plate the night before. Debbie at Carmens told me they didn't have particular plant. After not understanding her I told her I would have to call back. I should have just cancelled the order. My husband trusted the Yelp 5 Star reviews. Bought me a dozen yellow roses for my birthday on Nov 6. For $60 I figured at least they would open up. Not the case. Less than a week later I've had to toss a few already that have droopy necks and dead. Like to support small business but the value was not there on this one. They were a beautiful color and smelled nice. That's about it.

I received a delivery to my home from Carmen's Flowers. It appeared to be a food basket. Upon closer inspection it was a gift basket with a hodge podge of things that didn't make sense together. Lots of peanuts in the shell, 9 apples, 3 pears, 2 oranges, a bunch of green and bruised bananas, Debbie's snack cakes and rolls just thrown in there (from the box), 1 sleeve of crackers from a box, random candy from a bag of Hersheys, a little container (from a package of 6) of caramel dip, 2 packages of "That's Smart" cookies, w... read more
